I’m concerned about my privacy. What have you done to ensure my privacy is protected?
Answer:
We take this very seriously and designed our app around children’s safety. We have implemented the following to ensure parents feel comfortable using SafeSubs.
- At no point can anyone other than you see your child’s whereabouts. Only you and other members of your family (who you have approved) can see your child’s location details.
- We require cell phone verification to use the app, so you must tie this app to your cell phone number.
- You get notified when a new person joins the SafeSub and you can block a member at any time.
- When a new person joins a SafeSub, he/she is unable to see any children until his/her own children are added.
- You can make a “Private” SafeSub and only members with an invitation can join.
- You can use a generic photo if you don’t wish to upload a photo of your child.
- Blocking members means they won’t be able to check-in your kids, see your Sub Board posts, or message you.
Question:
How can I add another parent, babysitter or grandparent so they get notified as well?
Answer:
Have them simply use the same address you did when signing up and it will ask them if they would like to join your family. Then you will get notified under your profile and can approve them.
Question:
Can I join more than one SafeSub?
Answer:
Yes, on the home screen you can click the top SafeSub name and add or join an additional SafeSub. You are only allowed to join five.
Question:
How do I block a member?
Answer:
In the members area you can select any member and choose to block them. You can also block users by swiping left on their Sub Board posts, and selecting “block user”.
Question:
How can my spouse and I use the same account?
Answer:
If someone enters the same address as you, they are asked if they would like to join your family. If they select yes, you will get notified and have to approve them. Once approved you share the same children and both get notified.
